Mid tower high end PC Case - 2024 Finale

Taking a deeper dive into the case itself...

When you take a deeper look at the case, you soon realise the passion and thought process that went into the design.  There’s alot to unfold here and alot of premium quality materials which validates the asking price.  The curved tempered glass piece alone is heavy and awe inspiring.  One of the most surprising things was the sheer weight of the case empty.  It weighs in at nearly 20kg!  Full built it with aircooling, it was close to 30/35kg… not one for weak backs.

The angular flow guide is the next piece that draws your attention.  Designed to be used with vertical GPU in mind, it helps guide airflow directly to the front intake fans of your graphics card.

It’s also refreshing to see rear fan installation points above and below which can be configured for both 120mm and 140mm fans.

Fan configuration and testing...

With a mountain of Noctua products on hand (Huge thank you to Noctua for sponsoring us), we went ahead and started our fan configuration.  We were nto disappointed!  The aesthetic and quality of the entire layout mixed with Noctua’s premium products really sung to us.

The opportunity to create this masterpiece is truly stunning.  We configured our fans for the best airflow and adjusted the seals on the fans to ensure a tight fit around it’s mounting positions.  The choice of going with Black and Brown is to not draw the attention away from the centre of the build where the NH-D15 G2 and Noctua’s Asus RTX 3080 graphics card would sit.

We were a little limited at the time with the boards available since the X870 chipset had just launched.  So sticking with premium, we picked up a decent X670E Aorus Master from Gigabyte for our build.  In terms of performance, it’s still one of the best boards available on the market.  We paired this with AMD’s newly released 9800X3D CPU!  A rare and still very sought after processor as i type.  We did require a bios update but after a quick 5 minute update, we were ready to go.

Final Showdown...

The final build images but a quick word about compatibility.  We unfortunately ran into an issue where the VGPU would not work with our graphics card due to its thickness.  It would impede on the air cooler or the airflow guide.  There is unfortunately no way around this other than to avoid large aircoolers like the Noctua NH-D15 and replace it with an AIO.  I believe the original design and thought process was to run Vertical Graphics card mounts with an AIO in mind.  We also tried a smaller Aircooler like Noctua’s U12A but the issue persisted. 

Overall the aesthetic was not where we wanted to be but the end result was still very eye catching and proved to be a great mid tower case.
